Grandparents Celebrating Thanksgiving With Their Grandchildren
Grandparents with the Thanksgiving Holiday approaching, and our grandchildren are starting to think about food, fun, and seeing the entire family especially Grandpa and Grandma.
Grandparents here are some ways we can connect and have fun with our grandchildren during the Thanksgiving Holiday Season.
Play video games with our grandchildren. We can setup a free account with Fortnite, make sure you have WiFi. Then have your grandchildren join you playing a few games. Even if you are horrible at the game, they will think you are the bomb for trying. Have a Mario Kart Tournament. Nothing more than beating your grandchildren in a car race.
Play board games such as Scrabble, Clue, Monopoly, Checkers, Chess, and Bingo this will keep everyone excited and having plenty of fun and take a break from the classroom technology and the everyday hustle and bustle. Hey let’s not forget the card games Skipo, Uno, Go Fish, Rummy and War.
We can make sure our grandchildren have their favorite fun snacks and drinks. If we do not know their favorites we can text or snapchat them to see what they would like.
For our grandchildren with special needs or that are introverted we can create a safe space for them from the loud noise and we can be sure to have their favorite snacks and drinks available to enjoy. You want a less messy alternative? Set out some photo albums - there is no better way to take a mental break than to laugh at some old pictures of the family back in the day.
Let your neighborhood children and your grandchildren hang out outside during the holiday and have some outside fun by playing games like Base Ball, Freeze Tag, Hopscotch, Red Light Green Light this will help them to get fresh air.
