Experience with Gloria as an Advocate

“I would like to share the wonderful experience my grandson Brenton , my daughter Tessa and I had with Gloria Williams as an Advocate with the school system. My grandson was diagnosed with global developmental delays . He was placed in a preschool with no supports in a regular educational classroom. My daughter was being called constantly with problems with his behavior and was in fear of losing her job due to this. Brenton was coming home saying things like his teacher was always mad at him and kids were saying hurtful things to him because he was a problem. I was given Gloria's name by an autism association and when I called her she immediately took time talking to me getting information about my grandson's situation and needs. Gloria advised on options for Brenton and made sure the school officials .created an optimal IEP and guided Tessa on Brenton's rights as a child with a disability. Gladly Brenton is now in a specialized classroom and is happy and learning. I can not say enough about how thankful my family is for Gloria's help and guidance, She is a strong resourceful voice for children with disabilities.”

“I as a grandmother, feel very blessed in having the experience and the pleasure of raising my granddaughter who has given me a second chance as a parent. Raising my granddaughter has helped me to become a part of building her character and teaching her the importance of getting her education and building life skills for her future. Our bonding time includes going to the movies, traveling, watching our favorite television programs and staying healthy and fit by attending the YMCA Fitness Programs.”
